
Mike Nicco, raised in Missouri and a University of Kansas graduate, has been hired as. Morgan has family who have called Western Washington home for many years and is thrilled to have been able to forecast weather for this beautiful region for more than a decade now. Mike Nicco will start on-air as KSHB 41 Weather's Chief Meteorologist late in Nov. In his spare time, he loves travel, photography, golf, and researching his family history. Morgan holds the prestigious Seals of Approval from the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA), and presently serves as Broadcast Meteorology Committee chair for the NWA.
He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and completed advanced meteorology studies at Mississippi State University before embarking on his broadcasting career. Morgan was “bitten” by the forecasting bug at an early age and started chasing storms in Tornado Alley as soon as he got his teenage driver’s license. WBNS-TV (Channel 10) announced Friday that Chief Meteorologist Jerry Martz will helm the Doppler 10 weather team beginning next month. He joined KIRO 7 in 2011 after stints as meteorologist and news anchor in Texas and Florida. Chief Meteorologist Morgan Palmer serves as meteorologist for weeknight editions of KIRO 7 News.
